Your Offer-holder Day is the perfect opportunity to get a feel for life at Leeds Trinity University. You’ll get to meet other new students, explore the facilities where you’ll study, and get to know some of your future lecturers.

10:30am - 12:45pm	All You Need to Bring is Yourself In this session, we’ll give you an introduction to your chosen course and open with a discussion around Primary Education as a field of study and work. What do we think are the skills and personal attributes that make a good teacher? We’ll take some time to reflect on our individual experiences of Primary Education and consider what it really means to be a primary school teacher in 2025. Next, we’ll dive deep into the programme as a whole, paying particular attention to the statutory placements that form a key part of this course. We’ll conclude with an interactive session on the importance of linking theory to practice, and reflect critically on the practical nature of bringing learning to life in the classroom for pupils to enjoy.

Travel cost support

For your Offer-holder Day, we’ll pay a portion of the travel costs to help you enjoy your day that little bit more

The amount of financial support available depends on your home postcode. To be eligible, you must attend an Offer-holder Day. You can only claim travel cost support for one Open Day or Offer-holder Day.

If you're eligible, we'll email you after the event with details of how to claim your travel cost support.

Financial support is available per household, not per member of visiting party and you may be asked to supply proof of address.

Money will be paid via secure electronic payment at the end of the following calendar month after you’ve submitted your form. No money will be handed out on the day.
